You are interacting with an AI system
Parts of this website — including the Aristotle terminal demonstration — are powered by artificial intelligence. When you interact with Aristotle, you are communicating with an AI system, not a human. We tell you this plainly because European Union law requires it (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, the EU AI Act, Article 50) — and because telling you plainly is the entire premise of our business.
What Aristotle is
Aristotle is Alayer.AI’s compliance intelligence system. It supports our IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) auditing practice by assisting with framework analysis, readiness assessment, and compliance workflow tasks across standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO/IEC 42001, SOC 2, and the EU AI Act. The demonstration on this site shows a limited, illustrative version of those capabilities.
What Aristotle is not
Aristotle’s outputs are informational. They are not professional advice, an audit opinion, an attestation, a certification, or a legal conclusion. Like every AI system, Aristotle has limitations: it can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and it does not know the specific facts of your organization unless they are part of an engagement. Do not rely on demonstration outputs for compliance, legal, or business decisions. Formal deliverables from Alayer.AI are issued only through a defined engagement, under the process described below.
Humans stay in the loop — by design
Alayer.AI operates as a certified human-in-the-loop compliance firm. Every attestation, audit conclusion, and formal deliverable we issue is reviewed, approved, and signed by a qualified human professional exercising independent judgment. Our AI systems operate under documented human oversight consistent with Article 14 of the EU AI Act: humans can review, override, and halt AI-assisted work at defined control points, and those decisions are logged. AI accelerates our work; it does not replace the accountable human at the end of it. We consider this a feature, not a footnote.
How we handle your data
Interactions with AI features on this site may be logged, including the content you submit and related technical information, to operate the service, maintain security, and — for client engagements — to preserve the audit evidence our work requires. Details on what we collect, why, on what lawful basis, and for how long are in our Privacy Statement and Cookie Policy. Please do not submit confidential or sensitive information through the public demonstration.
